Historical Description

Piddle or Trent, The, a river of Dorsetshire, rising a little N of Piddletrenthide, and running about 20 miles south-eastward and east-south-eastward past Pyddle Hinton, Piddletown, Tolpuddle, and Turners Puddle, to Poole Harbour, 1½ mile E of Wareham.
