Midford, a village in the NE of Somerset, in a pretty valley, 3½ miles S of Bath, with a station on the Somerset and Dorset Joint railway, 136 miles from London. It has a post office under Bath. Midford Castle, on a terraced slope of an adjacent hill, is a seat of the Conelly family, has a picture gallery, and commands a fine view.
