Encombe, Dorset
Historical Description
Encombe, the seat of the Earl of Eldon, in Dorsetshire, on the coast, 2 miles SW of Corfe Castle. It belonged formerly to the Pitts and the Cullifords, and it now gives the title of Viscount to the Earl of Eldon.
