Historical Description

Dancing Lodge, a stone beach, under an amphitheatre of cliff, on the coast of Dorsetshire, 2½ miles NE of St Alban's Head, and 4SE of Corfe Castle. It is the floor of a quarry, and takes its name from the dancing motion it gives to the waves. The coast in its vicinity is very grand.
