The Okement or Ock, Devon

Okement or Ock, The, a river in Devonshire, rising in two head-streams, one of them at Cranmere Pool, near the centre of Dartmoor, 3½ miles SSE of Yes Tor, uniting these head-streams 6 or 7 miles to the N of Okehampton, and thence about 7 miles northward to the Torridge, 2 miles NNE of Hatherleigh. Its trout, though small, are noted for excellence.
