Historical Description

High Tor or Heytor, an eminence on the side of Dartmoor, in Devonshire, 6 miles S by E of Moreton Hampstead. It has a bold and singular outline, terminates in a double crown of granite, forms a striking feature in many views to the E, and commands a splendid prospect.
