Cut Hill, Devon
Historical Description
Cut Hill, a great boggy eminence in the central morass of Dartmoor, in Devonshire. Its summit commands an extensive but most desolate view, its sides are deeply cut by boggy watercourses, and its skirts are surrounded by bogs, containing the fountains of the rivers Dart, Tavy, Teign, Taw, and Okement.
