Historical Description

Brookhill, a seat on the east side of the mouth of Dartmouth Harbour, Devonshire, in a wooded cove, screened by hills, 1½ mile SE of Dartmouth. The house contains souvenirs of Sir Walter Raleigh, and a rich series of historical emblazonments, and the grounds show fine scenic features and contain the foundations of an ancient strong castle.
