Harraby, Cumberland
Historical Description
Harraby, a village in Carlisle St Cuthbert parish, Cumberland, on the river Caldew, and 1½ mile SE of Carlisle-station. Post town, money order, and telegraph office, Carlisle. At Harraby Hill is a reservoir belonging to the Carlisle Waterworks, and a workhouse for children.
