Warnall, Cumberland

Historical Description

Warnall, a hamlet in Sebergham parish, Cumberland, 1½ mile N of Hesket Newmarket. The Hall formerly belonged to the Dentons and the Dacres, and passed to the Earl of Lonsdale, is now a farmhouse, and only a portion of the original building remains. Warnall Fell is near it, and commands a fine view.
