The Eamont, Cumberland

Historical Description

Eamont, The, a river of Cumberland and Westmorland. It issues from Ullswater, and runs 9 miles cast-north-eastward along the boundary between the counties to the Eden, 5 miles E by S of Penrith. It receives the Dacre on the left bank and the Lowther on the right.
