Langstrath, Cumberland

Historical Description

Langstrath, a narrow mountain vale on the S border of Cumberland, descending from the Stake Mountain, at the boundary with Westmorland, into the head of Borrowdale. Langstrath Beck, which carries down the waters of Angle Tarn, flows through the valley.
