Greenhead Gill, Cumberland
Historical Description
Greenhead Gill is situated in a ravine on the mutual border of Cumberland and Westmorland, on the E side of Dunmail Raise, half a mile E of Grasmere. It is the scene of Wordsworth's fine pastoral poem of " Michael."
