Dunmallet, Cumberland

Historical Description

Dunmallet, a wooded conical height on the south-east border of Cumberland, on the river Eamont, immediately below the foot of Ulleswater. It had a Roman or British camp, 110 paces by 37 in extent, and it commands a fine view.
