Copeland Forest, Cumberland
Historical Description
Copeland Forest, a moorish mountainous tract in the SW of Cumberland, between Ennerdale Water and Wast Water, from 3 to 9 miles E of Egremont. It includes numerous fells and peaks, and has an altitude, at the Pillar Fell, of 2893 feet.
