Nare Point, Cornwall
Historical Description
Nare Point, a small headland in the SE of Cornwall, 1 mile SE of the month of the Helford river, and 5 S of Falmouth. It consists partly of a peculiar conglomerate, very interesting to geologists, and is pierced by a curious cavern, the roof of which is part of an ancient sea-beach.
