Furness Vale, Cheshire

Historical Description

Furness Vale, a hamlet in Disley township and ecclesiastical parish, Cheshire, 3 miles SW of Disley, on the borders of Derbyshire. It has a station on the Manchester and Buxton branch of the L. & N.W.R., and a post office under Stockport; telegraph office, Whaley Bridge. There is a church mission room and a Free Methodist chapel.
