Cadishead, Cheshire
Historical Description
Cadishead, a hamlet in Barton-upon-Irwell township, Eccles parish, Lancashire, 11 miles W of Manchester, under which it has a post, money order, and telegraph office, with a station on the Cheshire Lines railway. The inhabitants are chiefly employed in fustian cutting. There are Wesleyan and Congregational chapels, and a mission room.
