Trecastle, Breconshire

Historical Description

Trecastle, a village in Llywel parish, Brecknockshire, 11 miles W of Brecon. It has a post and money order office under Sennybridge (R.S.O.); telegraph office, Sennybridge. A castle was founded adjacent to it by Bernard Newmarch, and is now represented by a mound and extensive earthworks.
