The Rhynmey or Rmnney, Breconshire

Historical Description

Rhynmey or Rmnney, The, a river of Brecknockshire, Monmouthshire, and Glamorgan. It rises within Brecknockshire, arrives shortly at the meeting-point with Monmouthshire and Glamorgan, and runs about 30 miles southward, along the boundary between these two counties, to the Bristol Channel, 2½ miles E by N of Cardiff. Its valley is richly mineral, and presents some fine scenery.
