The Ouzel, Buckinghamshire
Historical Description
Ouzel, The, a river of Bucks. It rises near Ivinghoe; receives several streamlets from the N side of the Chiltern Hills; runs about 25 miles northward, chiefly within the E border of Bucks, but for 3 miles on the boundary with Beds, past Leighton Buzzard and past Fenny Stratford; is closely accompanied over most of its run by the Grand Junction Canal, and falls into the Ouse at Newport Pagnell. It is noted for fine pike, perch, and bream.
