Hedgerley Dean, Buckinghamshire
Historical Description
Hedgerley Dean, a township and a hamlet in Farnham Royal parish, Bucks, 3½ miles SE from Beaconsfield. Acreage of township, 551; population, 249. A battle between the Saxons and the Danes is said to have been fought here, and some large and deep entrenchments are supposed to mark the battlefield.
