Grovebury, Bedfordshire

Historical Description

Grovebury, a manor in Leighton Buzzard parish, Beds. It was given by Henry II. to the nuns of Fontevralt in Normandy, became the site of an alien convent, and passed to the dean and canons of Windsor.
