Disserth, a parish in Radnorshire. It stands on the river Ithon, near the foot of the Carneddau Hills, 1¼ mile E of Newbridge-on-Wye station on the Cambrian railway, and 5 miles N by W of Builth. The parish includes also the village of Howey and the township of Trecoed. Post town, Llandrindod (R.S.O.) Acreage, 6758; population of the civil parish, 461; of the ecclesiastical, 211. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St David's; net value, £196. Patron, the Bishop of St David's. The church is ancient, with a Decorated tower.
