Henllan Arngoed, Carmarthenshire

Historical Description

Henllan Amgoed, a hamlet and a parish in Carmarthenshire. The hamlet lies on a branch of the river Taff, adjacent to Pembrokeshire, 3 miles N by W of Whitland station on the G.W.R., and 6½ NE of Narbeth. The parish includes also the chapelry of Eglwysfair-a-Churig, and its post town is Whitland (R.S.O.) Area of Henllan Amgoed, 1044 acres; population, 116. The living is a rectory, united with the perpetual curacy of Eglwysfair-a-Churig, in the diocese of St David's; gross value, £160. The church is good.
