Henllan, Carmarthenshire

Historical Description

Henllan, a parish in Cardiganshire, on the river Teifi, at the boundary with Carmarthenshire, 3 miles E of Newcastle Emiyn. Post town, Newcastle Ernlyn, under Llandyssil. Acreage, 395; population of the civil parish, 128; of the ecclesiastical, 316. A fine waterfall is called Frydiau Henllan The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Bangor Teifi, in the diocese of St David's; net yearly value, £78 with residence. The church is good.
