Historical Description

Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran or Llanvihangel-Nant-Bran, a village and a parish in Brecknockshire. The village lies on the river Bran, an affluent of the Usk, 8 miles NW by W of Brecon. It has a post office under Sennybridge (R.S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Sennybridge. The parish comprises 8940 acres; population, 317. The living is a vicarage, united with that of Llandilofane, in the diocese of St David's; joint net value, £180. There is a Calvinistic Methodist chapel.
