Historical Description
Llanfairynghornwy, a parish in Anglesey, near Camlyn Bay, 10 miles NW of Llanerchymedd, and 14 NE by N of Holyhead. It has a post office under Valley (R.S.O.); money order office, Rhydwen; telegraph office, Llanfaethlu. Acreage, 2277; population of the civil parish, 271; of the ecclesiastical, 402. Verd antique, asbestos, and soapstone are found. The living is a rectory, with Llanrhwydrys annexed, in the diocese of Bangor; net value, £307 with residence. The church has traces of Norman work, and contains monuments of the Williams family.
