Historical Description

Wolverton or Wolverington, a parish in Warwickshire, 1¼ mile S of Claverdon station on the G.W.R., and 5 miles N of Stratford-on-Avon. Post town, Stratford-on-Avon; money order and telegraph office, Snitterfield. Acreage, 1160; population, 151. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Worcester; gross value, £211 with residence. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1869. It contains an ancient font and some ancient monuments and glass.
