Sherborne or Sherbourne, Warwickshire
Historical Description
Sherborne or Sherbourne, a parish in Warwickshire, on the river Avon, 2½ miles SSW of Warwick. It has a post office under Warwick; money order and telegraph office, Barford. Acreage, 1149; population, 191. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Worcester; gross value, £407 with residence. The church was rebuilt in 1864 at a cost of £20,000, from designs by Sir G. Gilbert Scott, and is a handsome edifice in the Early Decorated style.
