Haselor or Hazeler, Warwickshire

Historical Description

Haselor or Hazeler, a village and a parish in Warwickshire. The village stands near the river Aine, 1 mile S of Great Aine station on the Stratford-on-Avon and Alcester branch of the G.W.R., and 1½ miles E by N of Alcester. The parish includes also the hamlets of Upton and Walcote adjoining the village, and its post town is Alcester, under Redditch. Acreage, 2308; population, 285. The neighbourhood is hilly, and has pleasant scenery. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Worcester; gross value, £70 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1883.
