Bearley, Warwickshire
Historical Description
Bearley, a village and a parish in Warwickshire, 4 miles NNW of Stratford-on-Avon, with a station on the Stratford-on-Avon and Alcester branch of the G.W.R. Post town, Stratford-on-Avon. Acreage, 998; population, 188. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Worcester; net value, £73 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of Wootton Waven. The church was restored in 1875; it is small, and contains a font of the 15th century, and some monuments to the Rich and Jordan families. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
