Historical Description
Luddington-in-the-Brook, a parish in Northamptonshire, 4 miles E by S of Barnwell station on the L. & N.W.R., and 6½ SE of Onndle. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Onndle. Acreage, 1104; population of the civil parish, 93; of the ecclesiastical, with Hemington, 242. The property belongs to the Duke of Bnccleuch. The living is a rectory, united in 1867 with Hemington, in the diocese of Peterborough; joint gross value, £160 with residence. Patron, the Duke of Buccleuch. The church is an ancient building of stone in the Gothic style consisting of nave, S aisle, and chancel, with porch and tower.
