Historical Description
Harrowden, Little, a village and a parish in Northamptonshire. The village stands 1½ mile SW from Finedon station on the M.R., 3 miles N by W from WeUingborough, and has a post office under WeUingborough; money order and telegraph office, Wellingborongh. The parish comprises 1574 acres; population of the civil parish, 770; of the ecclesiastical, with Great Harrowden, 918. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the vicarage of. Great Harrowden, in the diocese of Peterborough. The church is an ancient building of stone of the 14th century, and there is a Wesleyan chapel. The ironworks of the Glendon Iron-Ore Co. are on the border of this parish.

Church of England
St. Mary (parish church)
The church of St. Mary is a building of stone in the Transitional style from Early English to Decorated, erected c. 1370, and consists of chancel with south vestry, clerestoried nave of four bays, aisles, south porch and an embattled western tower containing a clock and 4 bells: the south entrance exhibits some good Norman work: the south aisle has a quatrefoiled parapet, and a banding of similar character runs round that of the tower, with gargoyles at the angles: in the church are piscinæ: the church was restored in 1851 at a cost of about £600: the organ was erected by subscription in 1876 at a cost of £150.

There is a Wesleyan chapel, erected in 1882, and seating about 150 persons.
