Lee Ward, Northumberland
Historical Description
Lee Ward, formerly a township in Rothbury parish, but in 1889 it was amalgamated with the township of Hesley-hnrst, Northumberland. It lies 3 miles SE of Rothbury station on the North British railway. The manor belongs to the Duke of Northumberland. Much of the surface is open moor.
