Heaton, a township in the city and county borough of Newcastle-on-Tyne, Northumberland, on the Onse Burn, the N.E.R., and on the Newcastle and North Shields railway, 1½ mile NE of Newcastle. It has a station on the N.E.R. There is a post and money order office at Heaton Park Road
