Hawick, a township in Kirkharle parish, Northumberland, near the river Wansbeck, 7½ miles E of Bellingham, and 4 from Woodbum station on the North British railway. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Acreage, 1280; population, 13.
