Historical Description

Woolbeding, a parish in Sussex, 1 mile NW by W of Midhurst station on the L.B. & S.C.R. Post town, Midhurst. Acreage, 1850; population of the civil parish, 361; of the ecclesiastical, 241. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £160 with residence. The church is good, and contains memorials to the Mill, Bouverie, and Ponsonby families.
