Egdean, a parish in Sussex, near the river Pother, 1½ mile from Fittleworth station on the L.B. & S.C.R., and 1½ SE of Petworth. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Petworth. Acreage, 739 : population, 75. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £74. The church is very good.
