Eastergate, a parish in Sussex, with a station, called Barnham Junction, on the L.B. & S.C.R., 63 miles from London, and 5 E of Chichester. It has a post and money order office under Chichester; telegraph office, Barnham Junction railway station. Acreage, 918; population, 174. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester; net value, £183 with residence. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Chichester. The church, dedicated to St George, was restored in 1883.
