Didling, Sussex

Historical Description

Didling, a parish in Sussex, 2 miles from Elsted station on the L. & S.W.R., and 8 SE of Petersfield. Post town and money order office, Midhurst; telegraph office, Elsted railway station. Acreage, 825; population, 61. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the rectory of Elsted, in the diocese of Chichester; joint value, £250. The church is Early English and very small. It was injured by lightning in 1878.
