Historical Description
Walton-on-the Wolds, a parish in Leicestershire, 2 miles NE of Barrow-upon-Soar station on the main line of the M.R. Post town, Longhborough; money order and telegraph office, Barrow-on-Soar. Acreage, 1549; population, 179. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough; gross value, £500 with residence. The church is a building of brick and stone in a style of 13th-century Gothic, consists of chancel, nave, and a western tower, and has some good stained windows. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
