Historical Description
Shoby, formerly an extra-parochial tract, now a parish in Melton Mowbray Union, Leicestershire, 1½ mile SW from Grimstone station on the Nottingham, Melton, and Kettering branch of the M.R. Post town and money order office, Melton Mowbray; telegraph office, Grimstone station. Acreage, 969; population, 26. It consists of three farms and a few cottages.
