St. Michael and All Angels (parish church)

The church of St. Michael and All Angels is a building of stone in the Early English and Decorated styles, consisting of chancel, nave, west porch and an embattled western tower containing 3 bells, dated respectively 1602, 1662 and 1873: the chancel, rebuilt by the Rev. W. H. E. Welby M.A. late rector and his family, in 1871, is Early English, and the tower Early Decorated: the east window is stained and there are several other small stained windows: in 1888 the nave was rebuilt and a western porch added in the Early English style, at a cost of £1,150, the nave being at the same time reseated by the children of T. C. Beasley esq. J.P. in memory of their father and mother: there are 120 sittings.
