Historical Description
Gautby, a parish in Lincolnshire, 5 miles NE of Bardney station on the G.N.R., and 7 NW of Horncastle. Post town, Lincoln; money order and telegraph office, Bardney. Acreage, 1457; population of the civil parish, 92; of the ecclesiastical, 146. Moat House and Minting Park are chief residences. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln, with that of Waddingworth annexed; joint net value, £270 with residence. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is a small building of brick, with an embattled western tower.
