Wheathill-cum-Loughton, a parish in Salop, 7 miles NW by N of Cleobury Mortimer. Post town, Bridgnorth; money order and telegraph office, Burwarton. Acreage of Wheathill, 1440; population, 123. Acreage of Loughton, formerly a chapelry of Chetton parish, 1035; population, 78. The manor belongs to Viscount Boyne. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford; net value, £280 with residence. Holy Trinity Church is Norman. Loughton Church was built in 1622.
