Greet, Shropshire
Historical Description
Greet, a township and a parish in Salop, on the verge of the county, adjacent to the river Teme and the Leominster Canal, 2½ miles NW by N of Tenbury. Post town. Ten-bury. The parish includes the township of Stoke. Acreage, 1644; population of the civil parish, 178; of the ecclesiastical, 128. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford; net value, £147 with residence. The church is ancient, and was repaired in 1855.
