Burton-upon-Ure, a scattered township in Masham parish, in the N.R. Yorkshire, 1 mile from Masham station on the N.E.R., and 5 miles SW by S of Bedale. Acreage, 2156; population, 126. Aldburgh Hall and Nutwith Cote are chief residences.
