Auburn, East Riding of Yorkshire
Historical Description
Auburn or Awburn, a township in Carnaby parish, E.R. Yorkshire, on the coast, 2 miles SE of Carnaby railway station, and 3½ S by W of Bridlington. Post town, Carnaby under Hull. Much of the land has been washed away by the sea, and both church and village, with the exception of one farm, have disappeared. Area, 216 acres, of which 75 are in Bridlington parish; population, 13.
