Historical Description
Leighton, a township in Neston parish, Cheshire, on the estuary of the Dee, 1½ mile N by E of Great Neston. Acreage 641 with 84 of adjacent tidal water and 712 of foreshore; population, 325. The township commands fine views across the Dee into Wales.
